In a bid to increase connectivity in the Asia Pacific region, Scoot, the sister carrier of Singapore Airlines, has announced today (12 August 2025) that they will be launching flights to Thailand’s Chiang Rai (CEI), as well as Japan’s Okinawa Airport (OKA) and Tokyo Haneda (HND).

Okinawa will be served by Scoot starting 15 December 2025 on their Airbus A320 aircraft, while flights to Chiang Rai will begin on 1 January 2026, operating five times a week on the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. Tokyo Haneda will be served once daily starting 1 March 2026 with the Boeing 787 aircraft. One way fares to Chiang Rai start from SGD 128, while flights to Okinawa and Tokyo Haneda start from SGD 190 one way, with all taxes included.

"We are thrilled to expand Scoot’s network in Asia with new routes to Chiang Rai, Okinawa and Tokyo (Haneda), offering our customers even more travel options.” Mr Leslie Thng, the Chief Executive Officer of Scoot, said. “In addition, the upcoming increase in services to some cities will support stronger demand for air travel during the year-end and new year holiday periods. We will continue to look for opportunities to connect our customers to new travel experiences and memorable journeys with Scoot.”

With the introduction of three new destinations, Scoot will also be bumping their flight frequencies to several destinations, including Bangkok, Taipei, Vienna and Sapporo. Scoot will soon operate 111 weekly flights to Thailand and 45 weekly flights to Japan with the addition of flights to Chiang Rai, Okinawa and Tokyo Haneda.

The new flights are now available for booking on Scoot’s website and mobile application, and will progressively be rolled out for booking on third-party websites.
